Landowner Perspectives: Money, Leasing and Site Development

Over the past several years, there have been significant changes in the relationship between landowners and wind developers. Additionally, many landowners have been presented with opportunities to lease their land not only for wind generation, but also for solar development. The panel discusses recent trends in landowner compensation, lease terminology, and site location and development (including transmission issues and easements) in wind generation, as well as the basics of solar leases and how such leases differ from traditional wind leases.
