Under the two previous presidential administrations, the state of Texas’s supplemental payment programs has been subjected to increased scrutiny, new payment methodologies have been established (such as the UHRIP program, and LPPFs), and in recent weeks, CMS renewed the state’s 1115 Waiver for 10 years. The panel provides an update from both the federal and state perspective, as well as giving their opinions regarding the future of these critical funding programs.
