Session 1: Internal Investigations - Artful Inquisitions—how to master internal investigations to uncover the truth. Employee interviews are critical to conducting an effective and thorough workplace investigation. Get informative tips on preparing investigation interviews, applying effective questioning techniques, and using emotional intelligence to elicit key information.

Session 2: Digital Evidence: The Gathering Storm In recent years, the number of devices and applications capturing data about every aspect of our business and personal lives has exploded, creating a storm of potentially relevant data. Practitioners who know how to collect this digital evidence and use it effectively will gain an edge on their opponents. This presentation covers novel sources of digital evidence and the available court and forensic tools that can be used to gather evidence from them.

Session 3: Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace Hear a discussion about the impact of the Black Lives Matter movement in the workplace and why it matters for companies to manage cultural change. How do you have difficult conversations about race? How do companies address workplace harassment and discrimination?

Session 4: Agency Spotlight: State Office of Administrative Hearings - SOAH is entering the 21st Century. Explore upcoming changes in document management, case assignments, and procedural rules, and find out what lessons SOAH’s coronavirus response has taught us about remote hearings.
