Session 1: Hallmarks of a Robust Compliance Program for Energy Companies: The Attorney's Responsibilities in Promoting Compliance - An outline of the legal requirements that companies must comply with, identifying the FERC/CFTC prohibited practices such as "market manipulation," with a discussion of cases in which the FERC or the CFTC explain their view of what constitutes market manipulation. Learn what the agencies would like to see as necessary elements in an effective compliance program to avoid rules violations, and what the attorney's role is in bringing about and enforcing an effective compliance plan.

Session 2: Dodd-Frank Update - Three years after Dodd-Frank was signed into law, rules and clarifying statements continue to be issued by the CFTC in an effort to put the broad aims of the Dodd-Frank Act into practice. This presentation provides an update as to what has been issued by the CFTC relating to Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Act since last fall, with a particular emphasis on rules relating to end-users.
