very helpful

This was helpful in providing context and issue spotting guidance for someone--such as myself--who works primarily on the administrative/benefits side of immigration, but who frequently encounters individuals with past or concurrent proceedings. I thought a couple of topics could have been better organized, particularly regarding cancellation and other types of relief. Seemed to jump right into the specific details without enough explanation of the big picture. And on a couple of topics where I do have prior knowledge, I found some of the information incomplete or confusing. For example, the categorical approach. As mentioned in the questions and answers, this was not laid out in t he segment on challenging convictions. And as addressed in the Q&A, it was not quite correct. The categorical approach does not require an offense to match a federal offense to constitute a CIMT, for example. The presentation on asylum contained some errors as well. The discussion of safe 3rd country was completely incorrect (it's a specific agreement, currently only with Canada, and does not connect to the alien's status there, but to whether they sought asylum, and is only implicated if they seek asylum at a POE). The presenters appear to have confused/conflated with firm resettlement, which is a bar, and which they also did not fully or accurately explain (did not even mention Matter of AGG, for example). They also did not appear to understand that asylum scheduling for affirmative applications is separate from scheduling for CFI and RFI (the last in/first out is only for affirmative applications). But they did a very good job of explaining how/why an individual may not reveal information relevant to their asylum claim until later in the process, and what to do when that information arises. I also thought they made excellent points regarding how to deal with the different officials and agencies and offices involved, which is so important for attorneys who don't have experience in this very strange and counterintuitive area. Regarding the materials: the slides are very difficult to read in the PDFs. They have a dark, brick-patterned background that obscures the text.

Excellent course especially the update cases that have been decided in the last year.

Really good cle. Great speakers!

Very informative and held my attention watching the video. Thank you!
