How to Claim, Attack, and Defend Exemptions (Aug 2018)

Absent exemptions, a debtor could be rendered destitute by the claims of creditors. Whether applied to property owned at the time of filing, or acquired post-petition, exemptions are not a windfall; but drafted in a form to try and ensure that creditors receive some cash payments on their claims.
