During this presentation, hear a review on the concept of “Pain Generators.” Emphasis is placed on anatomic and physiological factors that an expert physician will identify and document (by virtue of training, experience, and physical examination), to either substantiate or refute an injury in the context of a reasonable degree of medical probability. In summary, review the standard definition of a pain generator, followed by examples of pain generators, and a discussion of how these relate to injuries caused by accidents.
