2015 Family Law Legislative Update
The 13th Biennial Family Law Legislative Update is the definitive post-legislative preview of new rules and key legislative developments for family law practitioners. Three of the most knowledgeable family law experts in the state, Professor John J. Sampson, The University of Texas School of Law and Harry L. Tindall and Angela G. Pence England, both with Tindall & England, P.C. in Houston, share their insights on the changes and how they will affect your practice in this half-day program. A mind-popping 954 changes to the Family Code have passed at least one house of the Texas Legislature. One bill had over 250 changes, but nevertheless, it appears we are on track for a very high, if not record-setting number of changes to the Code. The Texas Legislature adjourns June 1, so we should see quite a rocket ride in the next 20 days. Get the latest information on legislation dealing with federal mandates to UIFSA, international child support collections, training requirements in child custody evaluations, divorce practice, protective order, family violence and more.
