Strategies in Handling and Challenging Texas Tax Audits
Texas tax assessments can financially destroy viable businesses. Therefore, skillful representation is crucial to minimizing the impact of an audit assessment. Join Danielle Ahlrich, JD, to learn strategies for successfully representing clients facing Texas tax audits. First, we’ll address the pre-audit phase, including key reconciliations the auditor will perform. Second, we’ll cover techniques to apply during the audit itself, including tips about how to manage the on-site visit and communicate with auditors. Third, we’ll discuss an analytical framework for analyzing the various forums in which a Texas taxpayer may challenge an adverse assessment, including the advantages and disadvantages of each.
